Non-backpacker: Problem solved at San Rafael River Adventure Glamping

FB_IMG_1505697302778          The first time I tried camping turned out to be the last. Thought the bright stars are enough to light my way— it’s not, setting the tent up—a struggle, and the backache—the backache is real; what appears to be fun for others seems disaster for me. This made me realized that NO—I’m not a backpacker; and I’ll die envious to those who are. Not until… Glamping or the glamorous camping has been a fad.

Promising a hassle free way of camping, with all hotel-like amentites; i dare to camp one more time and went to San Rafael River Adventure. This hidden sanctuary of Bulacan is a paradise-like 2-3 hours away from Manila, encouraging non backpackers to fearlessly get close to nature.

Breakfast (silog dishes) is on them and will be served around 8:30am the next day. The agent who will reserve your dates will provide you with their menus and will if you’d like to pre order for your dinner on your arrival and/or lunch the following day because they don’t have in-house restaurant yet but they have a mini store in the receiving area for your basic needs; or you can bring your own food with no corkage.

Breakfast and the View

Photograph nature, or strike an instagram worthy pose.

Want to laze? Take a dip in their impressive infinity pool or Jacuzzi, or just chill out (maybe a drink?) and lounge.

Floating Pool just beside the glamping area.
Overwhelming Scenery:

Whilst upbeats can either hop into a kayak or paddle board and adore Anggat River. Try horse back riding or ATV to go around and the see entirety of the resort.

They also have this playing field/obstacle course good for team building. I’m intrigued with the wild pig hunt (not sure what); it’s where the guests will try to catch the wild pig (think it’s part of the team building games). They have this garden cinema every Friday and Saturday nights or you can ask your accommodating butler to set up a bonfire to cap your night.

You wouldn’t be running out of activities here (I enjoyed my unplanned first time fishing experience) and all in all 22 hours stay isn’t enough to try then all; a good reason for me to be back. 😉

Pre-ordered lunch set up near the pool.

I was hesitant with the idea of sleeping in our floating tent; worked out this was actually a good idea. No back pains –thank you comfy mattress, lights are everywhere –plus stars did show up, clean comfort rooms –important, no bulky bags to bring and tent to set up –thank you glamping. Though it didn’t change my thoughts about camping, it is indeed hassle free; and yes! A great option for non-backpackers who still desire nature.

My first time may not always end up great, but treating my every precious time as my first and facing it with excitement makes me crave for more. 🌈
