Commuters Mode: ON! To Perth Paradise Resort

Commuting in traveling can sure save you a lot of money but artlessly doing it yourself may cost you your time and headaches. Fortunately first time travelers (like me) can search the best fit routes, thanks to all the bloggers who’s unselfishly posting their experiences on the web.
Thinking I owe the web a big one; I bet it’s time for me to share mine. Starting with my recent search: “Ways to go to Perth Paradise Resort”

Ways to go to Perth Paradise Resort

First, you should know that Perth Paradise Resort is in Sipalay, Negros Occidental and can be reached via Dumaguete and Bacolod route. And we will be focusing on the latter since we’re booked for a 5D/4N Bacolod for this year.
1.) Once in Bacolod-Silay Airport you need to reach BCD South Bus Terminal where buses and vans b0und Sipalay are found. And here are your options: (we did the one marked ✔).

◾From Silay Airport hail a cab (fix rates starts at P500) straight to South Bus Terminal. – Easiest but expensive.

◾Walk outside the gate of Silay Airport, there you’ll see jeepneys or tricycles. Ride a jeepney bound to Silay (P10/pax). Alight at Silay Public Market (last stop). Look/ask for Rizal St loading/unloading spot and wait for a bus or jeepney with Bacolod signage (P15-P25/pax). Ask the driver to drop you off at the last stop which is North Bus Terminal. Charter a tricycle ride (P120) to take you directly to South Bus Terminal– cheaper but time-consuming (will depend on your pace).

✔Outside the airport are parked vans. Ask for the van who can directly take you to South Bus Terminal. Yes there is. Just make sure to ask first cause most of the vans are bound to Bacolod City only.

2.) Upon reaching the South Bus Terminal you now have two options and that’s: (we did the one marked ✔).

◾Ride a Bus bound to Hinobaan tell the bus conductor that you’re alighting at Sipalay.
– Aircon Bus fare: P265/pax
– Non air-conditioned Bus fare: P240/pax
– Travel time will take roughly 5-6 hour

✔Ride a commuters van to Sipalay.
– Fare: P250/pax
– Travel time will take roughly 3-4 hours

Going back to the City

1.) Told you to keep your drivers number for ease. Contact and ask the driver to take you to Sipalay where you can ride a van going to South Bus Terminal. Fare will start from P150-P250 depending on your haggling skills.

***In our case, our driver directed us exactly to a van terminal bound to Bacolod City we paid P200. The van offered to take us to our hotel for an additional P50/each. That’s P300/person door to door service baby!

2.) From Sipalay, look for the van terminal Bacolod bound (P250/pax).

3.) Alight at the last stop near South Bus Terminal.

4.) Hire a tricycle to take you to North Bus Terminal.

5.) Now you’re back to the city where you can ride cab, jeepney or tricycle to take you to your destination.

So there! That’s how we did it. Hope this can help first timers like us in DIY’ing your way to the paradise.
